The magnetic member is molded with a mixture of plastics and magnet powders and forms a plurality of radially-projecting and longitudinally-extending sections, each of which defines a magnetic pole, and a plurality of longitudinally-extending flutes alternating and circumferentially spacing the pole sections from each other. The pole sections are arranged to have opposite polarities for adjacent pole sections.
