    Abstract: A touch display device with a fingerprint anti-spoofing function and an associated fingerprint anti-spoofing method are provided, where the touch display device may include a touch display panel and a processing circuit. The touch display panel may include a plurality of display units and one or more codebooks, where each of the display units includes a sensor unit, and the one or more codebooks may make the sensor units receive sensing information of an object which is put on the touch display panel. In addition, the processing circuit may obtain the sensing information from the sensor units, and determine whether the object is a real finger based on the sensing information and reference information.

    Abstract: A video transmission method is provided. The video transmission method includes providing a wireless transmission environment for transmitting a video, wherein the wireless transmission environment includes an application layer, a media access control (MAC) layer and a physical layer; detecting a delay bound and a frame error rate (FER) of the video in the wireless transmission environment; detecting a present packet error rate (PER) of a packet in the physical layer when the physical layer transmits an error report to the MAC layer; calculating an estimated PER; comparing the present PER and the estimated PER for providing a determined result; and calculating an optimal video rate of the video and an optimal payload length of the packet using a geometric programming scheme when the determined result indicates that a retransmission is required, wherein the geometric programming scheme is based on the delay bound and the FER.

The filtering module is used for comparing at least one under-test data point with D boundary information corresponding to a sub-region, and consequently generating D flag sets. The counting module is connected with the filtering module. The counting module determines whether the at least one under-test data point lies in the sub-region, and consequently generates a result signal. A counting value corresponding to the sub-region is selectively accumulated by the counting module according to the result signal.

    Abstract: A cross-layer adaptation scheme, which can be applied in a femto base station, is proposed for quality of service provisions for the scalable video streaming of high definition content in a wireless environment. Within the procedure of minimum video distortion optimization framework, the method can dynamically adopt the cross-layer parameters, which contain the video rate, payload length of a packet, the mode of modulation and coding scheme. Based on channel quality and related parameters, the proposed scheme formulates the problem of parameter selection into an optimization problem, which can be automatically solved.
