  • Patent number: 8112093
Abstract: Data structure is shown for radio link addition messages and radio link deletion messages of a mobility procedure in a wireless telecommunications system, each message for at least temporary storage in a computer-readable medium during transfer of said message, wherein each radio link addition message and each radio link deletion message is a request including an optional information element identifying a connection frame number and an information element including a radio link identification. Various devices and methods are shown individually and in combination using this data structure.

  • Patent number: 7970423
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for linking a service context to a terminal connection in a network controlling device of a data network, wherein a service indication is forwarded via the terminal connection to the data network, and an association is established between the service context and the terminal connection based on a network response to the service indication. The desired link between the terminal connection and the service context can thus be established at the network controlling device based on the forwarded service indication, e.g. cause value for establishing the terminal connection. Thereby, network resources can be optimized by releasing non-valid terminal connections.

  • Publication number: 20080026741
Abstract: A method by which a Node B is informed by a serving RNC that a MAC-e reset is to be performed by a UE in communication with the Node B, so that the Node B can then provide failure indications of all HARQ processes that are not decoded by the time of the MAC-e reset. Corresponding equipment and software is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20030147380
Abstract: The invention is based on a distributed service architecture. The invention utilizes one or more agents for offering and supplying a service to a user. An agent includes service data and functions for executing a service. Furthermore, when necessary the agent is capable of moving in a packet-based telephone network to a part of the network where it can best execute the service desired by the user. An individual network element must incorporate one or more execution platforms providing the agent with the facility to execute services, communicate with other agents, and utilize the resources of the network element.
