  • Publication number: 20240428530
Abstract: A method for placing content in an augmented reality system. A notification is received regarding availability of new content to display in the augmented reality system. A confirmation is received that indicates acceptance of the new content. Three dimensional information that describes the physical environment is provided, to an external computing device, to enable the external computing device to be used for selecting an assigned location in the physical environment for the new content. Location information is received, from the external computing device, that indicates the assigned location. A display location on a display system of the augmented reality system at which to display the new content so that the new content appears to the user to be displayed as an overlay at the assigned location in the physical environment is determined, based on the location information. The new content is displayed on the display system at the display location.

  • Publication number: 20240331312
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to transitioning an artificial reality (XR) experience, of multiple XR experiences, from operating in a shared experience environment to operating in an exclusive mode, where other non-selected XR experiences are hidden or otherwise placed into an inactive state during the transitioning process. When an XR experience operates in the shared experience environment, the XR experience can be limited by or otherwise constrained by one or more rules of the shared experience environment—such as a specified area into which the XR experience can write content. When an XR experience transitions to exclusive mode, the selected XR experience can access resources that are otherwise unavailable to the selected XR experience in the shared experience environment. For example, transitioned XR experience can access a greater amount of processing capacity, display real estate, and/or memory of the XR device.

  • Publication number: 20240331278
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to providing an augmented world environment model for an artificial reality (XR) environment. Some implementations of the present technology define how experiences will run on an XR system as a hierarchy of entities, including experiences, augments those experiences create, and an exclusive mode in which a particular experience takes control of the entire view. Some implementations can establish a framework for multiple experiences to interface with each other and to run in an XR ecosystem. This can improve upon traditional mobile and desktop operating systems by providing different states optimized for XR, which can include improved utilization of resources on an XR device, such as an XR head-mounted display. Experiences and augments can enter a particular state based on criteria, and can be, based on the state, processed differently by an operating system or provided with particular capabilities.

  • Publication number: 20240296639
Abstract: Exemplary systems and methods for creating spatial contents in a mixed reality environment are disclosed. In an example, a location associated with a first user in a coordinate space is determined. A persistent virtual content is generated. The persistent virtual content is associated with the first user's associated location. The first user's associated location is determined and is associated with the persistent virtual content. A location of a second user at a second time in the coordinate space is determined. The persistent virtual content is presented to the second user via a display at a location in the coordinate space corresponding to the first user's associated location.

  • Publication number: 20200335128
Abstract: A method of presenting a signal to a speech recognition engine is disclosed. According to an example of the method, an audio signal is received from a user. A portion of the audio signal is identified, the portion having a first time and a second time. A pause in the portion of the audio signal, the pause comprising the second time, is identified. It is determined whether the pause indicates the completion of an utterance of the audio signal. In accordance with a determination that the pause indicates the completion of the utterance, the portion of the audio signal is presented as input to the speech recognition engine. In accordance with a determination that the pause does not indicate the completion of the utterance, the portion of the audio signal is not presented as input to the speech recognition engine.

  • Publication number: 20200286179
Abstract: A system and method are provided comprising: a) for a specified underlying and tenor, generating a two-dimensional surface showing prices for different strikes at a specific point in time; b) repeating a) for a plurality of points in time; c) connecting the two-dimensional surfaces to generate a three-dimensional block; d) cutting a surface of the three-dimensional block along a spot for each point in time to identifying how pricing has deviated from a Q measure across time; and e) generating a three-dimensional visualization in one or more formats.
