  • Patent number: 6356180
Abstract: In a high-voltage generating transformer having primary and secondary coil bobbins coaxially mounted on one another relative to a center core, an element wire of the primary coil is wound spirally around the primary coil bobbin in such a way that the both staring and terminating ends of the wire are disposed at the same end of the coil bobbin by forward and backward winding of the wire. This enables the transformer to have considerably reduced number of turns of the wires in the primary coil relative to that in the secondary coil, thus improving the voltage transformation ratio and obtaining a sufficiently high voltage at the secondary side.

  • Patent number: 6049163
Abstract: A discharge lamp unit has a housing provided with a lamp socket fitted thereon and accommodating a printed circuit board with a lamp lighting circuit and a high voltage generating transformer assembly mounted thereon. The transformer assembly consists of a primary coil being a plate conductor spirally wound around a coil case containing a secondary coil-wound bobbin with a core inserted in a hollow center thereof. The discharge lamp unit is formed as a single solid device by potting all of the components in the housing with insulating resin poured in a melted state and solidified therein. This unit is easy to mount with no need for laying a high-voltage between the circuitry and the lamp socket, and includes a very compact and light transformer having an increased conversion efficiency of the primary and secondary coils.

  • Patent number: 5996028
Abstract: This invention relates to a radio communication terminal having a detachable memory for storing private information and, more particularly, to a terminal designed to manage the private information stored in a memory in the terminal by using a detachable memory. The identification number of the detachable memory mounted in the radio communication terminal in the previous operation is stored in the terminal. In using the radio communication terminal the next time, if the identification number of the detachable memory mounted in the terminal does not coincide with the previous identification number, the private information stored in the memory in the terminal is cleared. In addition, the identification number of a permitted detachable memory is stored in the memory in the terminal to inhibit the use of a memory having an identification number other than the above identification number.
