  • Publication number: 20110232859
Abstract: Described herein is a device for cooling condenser coils of an air conditioner system, where the condenser coils are located along with a compressor within a suitable housing. Cooling is made efficient by providing a manifold located adjacent to the housing for controllably carrying water and dispensing it through a set of nozzles, which create a mist of water droplets adjacent to side walls of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20050027616
Abstract: A system for the on-line distribution and sales of electronic content over a distributed client-server network is described. A server computer maintains a database and processing engine that stores and processes data pertaining to a selection of digital content product, such as music CDs, movie DVDs, video games, computer software, and the like. A user registers for a membership on the vendor web site. Users may select from a wide range of products available through the vendor or other vendors associated with the web site. The user can search for auctions for individual titles or products. When the user wins an auction, the vendor sends the product for use during a trial period. The auction price sets the trial price for the product. Upon expiration of the trial period, the user can return the product to the vendor, or keep it and pay a price based on the trial price.

  • Publication number: 20020058468
Abstract: A belt has a polishing pad with one or more polishing pad sections joined to the belt by an adhesive layer. A seam joint is reinforced with caulking material. Edge portions of the seam joint are beveled or dovetailed. Parallel stress relief grooves in the upper surface of the polishing pad prevent delamination of the polishing pad from the belt.

  • Patent number: 4978749
Abstract: The invention relates to a new probe for detecting a specified nucleic acid sequence. It consists of a recombinant DNA containing an insert complementary to the nucleic acid sequence to be detected and nuclecic acid sequences derived from the DNA (+) of phage M13, the bases which participate in the composition of this recombinant DNA, in particular the thymine groups, being replaced by 5-bromouracil groups. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing this probe, this method comprising the culturing of cell hosts, more especially E. coli, which are auxotrophic for thymine in a medium containing a limiting concentration of thymine and containing 5-bromouracil. After the requisite incubation time, the supernatant is removed and the probe is recovered from the bacterial cells.
