Abstract: A detection device includes: a detector having an inherent detection area to detect entry of a detection target into the inherent detection area; a restrictor for restricting the inherent detection area to a specific set detection area; a body having a detector opening part; a detector fixer for fixing the detector; and a restrictor fixer whose position is fixed to the detector fixer and to which the restrictor is fixed, the restrictor fixer configured so that a relative position between the detector and the restrictor is fixed by fixing a position of the restrictor to the detector fixer via the restrictor fixer. The detector and the restrictor whose positions are thus fixed are assembled to the body so that a circumferential edge of the detector opening part is located outside the set detection area while the restriction of the inherent detection area by the restrictor is maintained.

Abstract: An aspect of the present invention enables longer use of an electrostatic atomizer by employing a feature for removing foreign objects. An electrostatic atomizer sprays a liquid from a tip of a first electrode of the electrostatic atomizer by applying a voltage between the spray electrode and a reference electrode of the electrostatic atomizer. The electrostatic atomizer includes: a selecting section which selects a cleaning mode or a normal mode, the cleaning mode being for cleaning the reference electrode, the normal mode being for normal operation of the electrostatic atomizer; and a setting section which sets a cleaning voltage so as to be higher than a normal spray voltage, the cleaning voltage being applied in the cleaning mode, the normal spray voltage being applied in the normal mode.

Abstract: A drive device in which a controller includes a detection determiner, a high threshold that is initially set and a low threshold are switchably set in the detection determiner as thresholds for determining whether or not to capture detection signals, the controller performs: when the detection determiner makes a capture determination before drive processing, low-switching processing to switch the threshold from the high threshold to the low threshold before the drive processing is started based on the determination results; and perform drive cancellation processing to cancel driving of a driver when the detection determiner makes a capture determination after the low-switching processing.
