  • Patent number: 5611341
Abstract: An external trigger method in a magnetic resonance inspection apparatus includes the steps of inputting collectively imaging control data including an imaging portion of a subject, the kind of sequences, a time interval between the sequences and the number of times of repetition of the sequences, executing a pre-processing sequence corresponding to the imaging sequence set to be first executed, and checking whether the time interval until the start of the imaging sequence to be next executed is set to a predetermined value. The imaging sequence is started by an external trigger when the time interval is set to the indefinite value. The imaging sequence is started after the passage of the time of the predetermined value when the time interval is set to the predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 5471141
Abstract: When image information obtained on the basis of an NMR signal, e.g. MRI, is acquired, a radio frequency pulse is set so that a strong signal can be obtained particularly from a portion of interest among the sample. To accomplish this object, the occurrence of signals from portions of the sample other than the selected portion of interest is inhibited in advance of obtaining information (an image) of the sample. Various radio frequency pulses are then irradiated to the sample and a suitable radio frequency pulse is determined on the basis of the resulting signal.

  • Patent number: 5113166
Abstract: A magnetic field gradient coil system for use in a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus forming a magnetic field gradient in a direction of a Z-axis of an X, Y, Z orthogonal coordinate system having its origin at a selected position in the imaging apparatus comprises one pair of first coils and one pair of second coils having their centers on the Z-axis and having the same radius, the coils of each coil pair disposed symmetrically with respect to an XY plane including the origin, the coils of the second coil pair disposed more distant from the origin than the coils of the first coil pair, the coils of the first and second coil pairs disposed on one side of the origin supplied with current in the same direction, the coils disposed on the other side of the origin supplied with current opposite to the direction of current in the coils on the one side of the origin, each of the coils of the first coil pair disposed where the value of the Z-axis magnetic field component of first order at a selected position on the

  • Patent number: 5084676
Abstract: A nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus in accordance with the present invention includes ferro-magnetic field generation means and gradient field generation means and fixes the gradient field generation means at a predetermined position inside a cylindrical space by a support member. An elastic member is interposed between the support member and the gradient field generation means, and means for improving rigidity of the gradient field generation means, such as another support member and a fastening jig of the gradient field generation means, is disposed and fixed to the elastic member described above. In the manner image quality can be improved and noise can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 4903703
Abstract: The conversation device of an MR imaging apparatus including a magnet for generating a static magnetic field, a gradient field coil disposed between pole pieces of the magnet and used for endowing an NMR signal with positional information, a high-frequency coil disposed in the gradient field coil for transmitting an electromagnetic wave and for detecting the NMR signal, and a bed disposed in the high-frequency coil for holding a person to be inspected, is disclosed. In this conversation device, a bone conduction microphone insensitive to a magnetic field and surrounding noise is mounted on an auxiliary member (which is used for placing the to-be-inspected person at a predetermined position on the bed) so that the bone conduction microphone can be kept in contact with that part of the to-be-inspected person which can conduct the voice of the to-be-inspected person by a bone.
