    Abstract: A playing card system, a deck of playing cards, and a method include playing cards with digital enhancements and electronic ink. Exemplary embodiments of this invention include a system and method to enable traditional playing cards to be embedded with computer chip technology. These new playing cards with embedded chips will then be able to communicate with each other and a central command center that will add an additional element to the gaming experience. The playing cards can include electronic paper or electronic ink that can change the face or the back of the card or display messages to players. In an exemplary embodiment, a handicapping system can be used to teach a player how to play various games or to play more advanced players with assistance.
