  • Publication number: 20250294708
Abstract: An example tube includes: an inner layer that allows flow of coolant therethrough, wherein the inner layer is made of a polymer material including polyamide, copolyester, polyvinylidene fluoride, or polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF), and wherein the inner layer reduces a rate of permeation of coolant; and an outer layer surrounding and bonded to the inner layer, wherein the outer layer is made of copolyester, polyether block amide (PEBA), or thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).

  • Patent number: 11739864
Abstract: A hose assembly defines a longitudinal axis and includes an inner core tube, a reinforcement layer, a tensile strength braided layer, and a cover layer. The reinforcement layer surrounds the inner core tube and includes one or more filaments of a fiber. The tensile strength braided layer surrounds the fiber reinforcement layer and includes strands that form a braid pattern. A braid angle of the braid pattern is 10° to 40° relative to the longitudinal axis. A coverage value of the braid pattern is 20% to 50% relative to a surface of a layer adjacent the tensile strength braided layer. The cover layer surrounding the braided layer.

  • Patent number: 11143350
Abstract: A wrapped heating assembly may be wrapped around a tubular member for heating the tubular member. The wrapped heating assembly includes an outer insulation sleeve and a pocketed heating system that is fixed to an inner surface of the outer insulation sleeve in a manner that forms longitudinal pockets that extend between a first end of the outer insulation sleeve and a second end of the outer insulation sleeve. One or more heater strips are each respectively inserted longitudinally into a corresponding one of the pockets, wherein heat is generated by the heater strips when electrical current flows through the heater strips for heating the tubular member in a wrapped position. Multiple wrapped heating assemblies may be daisy chained together by electrical connectors into a heating system with a single thermostat and linked to a single power source to accommodate a wide range of configurations of tubular member systems.

  • Publication number: 20170009926
Abstract: A heated hose assembly (10) includes a tubular member (12), a heater device (14) having an electrical resistance element (18) in thermal communication with the tubular member (12), and a thermal regulating device (30) that controls a flow of electrical current through the heater device (14) based on a sensed temperature of the hose assembly (10). Heat generated by the heater device (14) when the electrical current flows through the resistance element (18) heats the tubular member (12) to prevent or minimize condensation of gases, or coagulation or freezing of liquids, within the tubular member (12) at relatively low ambient temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20070034275
Abstract: A reinforced hose according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first reinforcing layer having a reinforcement material with a first tensile strength. A second reinforcing layer overlays the first reinforcing layer and includes a reinforcement material with a second tensile strength. The second tensile strength is substantially greater than the first tensile strength. In another embodiment of the present invention, a reinforced hose includes a first reinforcing layer including a reinforcement material having a first level of fatigue resistance and a second reinforcing layer overlaying the first reinforcing layer and including a reinforcement material having a second level of fatigue resistance. The first level of fatigue resistance is substantially greater than the second level of fatigue resistance.
