    Abstract: A windrower implement includes a merger attachment coupled to a frame rearward of an implement head. The merger attachment includes a conveyor positioned relative to the implement head to receive discharged crop material from the implement head and convey the crop material laterally relative to the central longitudinal axis to form a windrow laterally offset from the central longitudinal axis. A merger controller is operable to determine a location of a windrow formed during a belly pass and save the location of the windrow as a windrow track location. The merger control algorithm may determine a current position of the conveyor relative to the windrow track location and control a current speed of the conveyor based on the windrow track location of the belly pass and the current position of the conveyor to achieve a desired throw distance of crop material discharged from the conveyor.

    Abstract: A windrower implement includes a merger attachment having a support structure rotatably supporting a conveyor, and a lift structure interconnecting the support structure and a frame of the windrower implement. The lift structure is moveable between a deployed position for positioning the conveyor in a lowered and downward inclining operating position, and a stowed position for positioning the conveyor in raised and upward inclining non-operating position. The lift structure includes a link system coupled to the frame and a lift arm coupled to the link system and having a support connection interconnecting the lift arm and the support structure. The support connection maintains a relative position between the lift arm and the support structure during movement of the lift structure between the stowed position and the deployed position.

    Abstract: A windrower implement includes a merger controller operatively coupled to a merger attachment for controlling the merger attachment between a deployed position and a stowed position. The merger controller receives a user command selecting one of a single pass windrow configuration in which the windrow is formed from a belly pass, or a double pass windrow configuration in which the windrow is formed from the belly pass and a first merger pass. When the double pass windrow configuration is selected, the merger controller automatically controls the merger attachment into the stowed position when executing the belly pass for the double pass windrow configuration and then automatically controls the merger attachment into the deployed position when executing the first merger pass for the double pass windrow configuration.

    Abstract: A merger attachment for a windrower implement includes a support structure extending along a longitudinal structure axis between a first end and a second end. A belt forms an endless loop encircling the support structure. An idler roll is rotatably attached to the support structure proximate the first end thereof and defines an idler diameter. A drive roll is rotatably attached to the support structure proximate the second end thereof and defines a drive diameter. The support structure includes an upper support surface and a lower support surface arranged in a non-parallel relationship relative to each other to define a tapered profile extending along the longitudinal structure axis. The tapered profile has a first thickness at the first end equal to the idler diameter, and increases in thickness toward the second end, which has a second thickness equal to the drive diameter.
