  • Patent number: 12280700
Abstract: A tray table tuning mechanism having a mount member; a pivot limiting member coupled to the mount member and having a mating surface defining a groove; a paddle arm deployment member pivotably coupled to the mount member and pivotable relative to the pivot limiting member; and a paddle arm pivotably coupled to the paddle arm deployment member, pivotable between a stowed state and a deployed state, and having at least one stop member; wherein, in the deployed state of the paddle arm, the at least one stop member is positioned within the groove and mates with the mating surface.

  • Publication number: 20250108742
Abstract: An armrest control mechanism for a passenger seat may be attached to a seat frame and an armrest to control movement of the armrest relative to the seat frame. The armrest control mechanism may include a base member, a gas spring, a pulley attached to the gas spring and moveable relative to the base member, and a cable movable relative to the base member for moving the pulley. The gas spring may provide forces through the pulley and the cable to the armrest.

  • Patent number: 12172581
Abstract: Described are supports for holding a portable electronic device. The support includes a body having an upper pivot location and a lower pivot location relative to a passenger seat back, a support structure coupled to the body, and a plurality of projections extending from a surface of the support structure. Each projection is shaped to receive a lower edge of a portable electronic device and secure the portable electronic device to the body when the portable electronic device is received by the plurality of projections.

  • Patent number: 12077302
Abstract: Described are passenger seat assemblies that include a passenger seat frame (212), a first passenger seat element (224) connected with the passenger seat frame, and a second passenger seat element (226) configured to removably connect with the first passenger seat element. Each of the first and second passenger seat elements includes a respective conductive touch fastener (228, 232) that, together, complete a circuit when the second passenger seat element is connected with the first passenger seat element. The circuit can be used as a sensor to determine whether the first and second passenger seat elements are connected.

  • Publication number: 20220177139
Abstract: Described are passenger seat assemblies having a first seat structure (222) that includes a non-contact sensor or sensors (106a) and a second, movable or deployable passenger seat structure (226) that contains an embedded magnetic element or elements (236a). Each magnetic element interacts with the non-contact sensor such that the embedded magnetic element causes the non-contact sensor (106a) to switch between a first state and the second state, depending on the orientation of the second structure (226) with respect to the first structure (222). The sensor can detect whether the second passenger seat structure is positioned in a stowed configuration or a deployed configuration.
