  • Publication number: 20100298037
Abstract: A pedal-driven machine and methods for processing grain using the physical exertions of a single individual. The single individual feeds a panicle of grain into a thresher, drives the thresher to thresh the grain, winnows the threshed grain with a winnower, and collects the threshed grain, all concurrently. The panicle may be withdrawn from the thresher after being threshed without the panicle having passed entirely through the thresher. The machine that enables the foregoing processing by a single individual has a pedaling mechanism for driving both the thresher and the winnower via a single drive member.
