In one example, a method for provisioning wireless network access to a wireless device includes: creating, in a cloud-based provisioning system, a wireless network access profile that includes a user identifier associated with the wireless device, receiving, on an access point, an authentication request sent from the wireless device, identifying, by the cloud-based provisioning system, the wireless device based on the user identifier associated with the wireless device, performing, on the cloud-based provisioning system, WPA3-based authentication to authenticate the wireless device, and providing, by the access point, network access to the wireless device.

The user profile is bound to a physical geographic location. The user profile provides access rights to a network. The computer-implemented method associates, automatically, the user profile created with a network-enabled device. An access point may receive, from a wireless device, a value based on the PSK, which is then transmitted to a provisioning system. Data is provided to the access point based on the PSK of the wireless network access profile. Network access can then be granted.

Abstract: A computer system for issuing customer loyalty rewards includes a rewards regulator in electronic communication with a plurality of communication service providers (CSPs), which supply network connectivity and related services to a group of customers. The rewards regulator includes a rules engine for establishing and maintaining a set of rules for issuing customer loyalty rewards based on defined parameters of customer data use. The rewards regulator additionally includes a rewards engine configured to electronically receive customer data use information from the plurality of communication providers, compare the customer data use information against the set of rules maintained by the rules engine and, when applicable, establish customer loyalty rewards to be issued in compliance with the set of rules. At least one rewards organization in electronic communication with the rewards regulator is configured to receive and process customer loyalty rewards determined by the rewards engine.

Based on a result of the identifying, the method automatically (i) selects a VLAN from a pool of dynamically assignable VLANs, (ii) associates the VLAN selected with the network-enabled device, and (iii) instructs the network equipment to assign the network-enabled device to the VLAN selected from the pool.
