  • Patent number: 9805346
Abstract: While performing or initiating a transaction with a self-service video transaction device, a user may interact with a video agent and a terminal associated therewith. Video and/or audio functionalities may be enabled or disabled based on a length of a wait time to connect to a video agent. If the wait time exceeds a predetermined threshold, video and/or audio functionalities may be disabled, and the self-service device may generate a display indicating that video and/or audio functionalities are unavailable. If the wait time does not exceed the predetermined threshold, video and/or audio functionalities may be enabled, and the self-service device may generate a display indicating that video and/or audio functionalities are available. Also, on-site assistance features are provided that may allow for additional functionality to be provided to a user of the self-service video transaction device or other type of transaction device.

  • Patent number: 9582971
Abstract: A system includes a processor and an interface. The interface receives, from a terminal, planned-deposit information. The terminal is at a location that is remote from a deposit location. The processor associates a deposit identifier with the planned-deposit information and stores the planned-deposit information and the deposit identifier in a memory. A method includes recognizing, at a deposit location, a deposit identifier. The method includes identifying, based on the deposit identifier and information stored in a memory, a planned deposit. The method includes detecting that the planned deposit has been delivered to a depository and determining, by a processor and based on one or more business rules, an availability of funds associated with the planned deposit.

  • Patent number: 9549156
Abstract: Video transaction machines (VTMs) facilitate communications and transactions between customers of a financial institution and video transaction resources, such as video agents, by establishing a video session between a VTM and a video agent workstation. After a computing device of the financial institution receives information identifying the customer, VTM, or VTM location requesting the services of a video agent, the computing device may place the customer in one or more virtual queues based on an overall visit time at the VTM location. In order to maintain a visit time at the VTM location below a predetermined visit time threshold, the controller may prioritize transactions at VTMs with longer visit times over transactions at VTMs with shorter visit times.

  • Publication number: 20150142647
Abstract: A self-service financial transaction device may include a processor and a non-transitory memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The non-transitory memory may be configured to store instructions that, when executed, may cause the processor to request access to a liability account associated with a customer of the financial institution. Upon receiving access to the liability account, the instructions may cause the processor to receive information about a payment received at the self-service financial transaction device that may be applied, at least in part, toward an outstanding balance of the liability account. The processor may then communicate information about the received payment to the financial institution, where the payment may be applied towards an outstanding balance of the liability account.

  • Publication number: 20150127484
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for receiving and processing location information requests are presented. In some embodiments, a decision engine may aggregate location service information and transaction center status information. The location service information may identify one or more services that are available at each of a plurality of enterprise locations, and the transaction center status information may identify a current status of one or more transaction centers at each of the plurality of enterprise locations. Subsequently, the decision engine may receive, from a user device, a data request for a location to perform a defined service, and the data request may include location information for the user device at the time of the data request. In response to receiving the data request, the decision engine may provide one or more options to the user device based on the location service information and the transaction center status information.

  • Publication number: 20150120541
Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatuses for identifying a plurality of contribution destinations and a geographic location associated with each contribution destination. In some examples, a plurality of transaction devices or systems (e.g., automated teller machines (ATMs), online banking systems, mobile banking applications, and the like) may also be associated with a geographic location. In some arrangements, the contribution destination(s) associated with a geographic location will be transmitted to any transaction devices associated with the same geographic location. The contribution destinations may then be presented to a user or customer with a request for a gift or donation to one or more of the contribution destinations via the transaction device or system (e.g., during the course of another transaction initiated by the user).

  • Publication number: 20150106132
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for receiving and processing insurance payments are presented. In some embodiments, an automated teller machine (ATM) may receive an insurance card issued by an insurance provider. Subsequently, the ATM may determine, based on the insurance card, a customer account number and an insurance provider account number. The insurance provider account number may correspond to an insurance provider account associated with the insurance provider, and the customer account number may correspond to a customer account associated with a beneficiary of an insurance plan provided by the insurance provider. The ATM then may accept a deposit, and subsequently the ATM may credit funds associated with the deposit to the customer account.

  • Publication number: 20150106264
Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling debit card transactions are presented. In some embodiments, a computer system may receive authentication information associated with a debit card. Subsequently, the computer system may determine, based on boundary information, whether the transaction terminal device is authorized to perform one or more transactions on at least one financial account linked to the debit card. Based on determining that the transaction terminal device is authorized to perform one or more transactions on the at least one financial account, the computer system may allow the transaction terminal device to perform at least one transaction on the at least one financial account. Alternatively, based on determining that the transaction terminal device is not authorized to perform one or more transactions on the at least one financial account, the computer system may prevent the transaction terminal device from performing any transactions on the at least one financial account.

  • Publication number: 20150081493
Abstract: A request for a financial instrument guaranteed by a financial institution may be received from a user device. A record may be created for the request, and the record may be stored in a database comprising a plurality of records for requests for financial instruments guaranteed by the financial institution. Search criteria specifying one or more aspects of the record for the request for the financial instrument guaranteed by the financial institution may be received from a computing device associated with the financial institution. The search criteria may be utilized to identify, from amongst the plurality of records for requests for financial instruments guaranteed by the financial institution, the record for the request for the financial instrument guaranteed by the financial institution. Information stored in the record may be communicated to the computing device associated with the financial institution.

  • Patent number: 8941709
Abstract: While performing or initiating a transaction with a self-service video transaction device, a user may interact with a video agent and a terminal associated therewith. An error may occur during the transaction. In response to detecting the error, video agent(s) having video or audio functionalities to service the error may be identified. Servicing the error may also be based on a length of a wait time to connect to an appropriate video agent. If the wait time exceeds a predetermined threshold, an error receipt identifying the error and other information may be printed by the self-service video transaction device. If the wait time does not exceed the predetermined threshold, a display device of the self-service video transaction device may display an option for the user to connect to the video agent terminal.
