  • Publication number: 20220111476
Abstract: A dust collector for use with a power tool comprises a housing, a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the housing, a suction fan positioned in the housing and operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe, a dust container coupled to the housing and positioned upstream of the fan, a filter at least partially arranged in the dust container, and a filter cleaning mechanism. The filter cleaning mechanism includes an anvil, a striker moveable between a first striker position, in which the striker is spaced from the anvil, and a second striker position, in which the striker is in contact with the anvil. The filter cleaning mechanism further includes an actuator moveable between a first actuator position and a second actuator position, in which the actuator is moved closer to the anvil than in the first position, and a first spring biasing the striker toward the anvil.

  • Publication number: 20210237306
Abstract: The present invention provides, in one aspect, a router including a motor unit and a base configured to selectively receive the motor unit to support the router on a work piece surface. The motor unit includes a motor and a spindle configured to output a torque supplied by the motor. The base includes an input shaft configured to selectively couple to the spindle, an output shaft laterally offset from the input shaft, and a belt. The input shaft includes a first pulley and the output shaft includes a second pulley and a tool holder. The belt wraps around the first and second pulleys to rotationally couple the input shaft to the output shaft. When the motor unit is received into the base, the spindle couples to the input shaft.

  • Patent number: 10946455
Abstract: A keyless chuck for attaching a tool bit to a power tool includes a knob having a central aperture and defining a longitudinal axis, a hub within the central aperture and configured to attach to the power tool, and a collet within the hub and having a receiving end configured to receive the tool bit. The knob is adjustable between a locked position in which a clamping force is applied to the collet to retain the tool bit therein, and an unlocked position in which the clamping force is relieved to permit removal of the tool bit.
