Patent number: 11971384Abstract: Electrophoresis is used to identify presence of a target compound in a patient sample based on a charge state of the compound and a label. The charge state of the compound correlates to a total net charge of a binder conjugated to the compound. The bound complex or “bound complex” with the label is then applied to the electrophoresis substrate. An electric potential is applied to the substrate for a time period and causes the labeled bound complex to migrate toward the electrode with opposite charge of the labeled bound complex at a migration velocity to form a migration pattern over the time period. At some time during or at the end of the time period, the labeled bound complex produces a bound complex band as a result of its migration across the substrate. The presence of the compound is identified based on the labeled bound complex band and one or both of the migration pattern and the migration velocity.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 2021Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: Hemex Health, Inc.Inventors: Peter Galen, Ariane Elizabeth Erickson, David Richard Bell, Matthew Christian Lind, Tyler Witte, Umut Atakan Gurkan

Publication number: 20230400431Abstract: A diagnostic system that includes a cartridge and a reader is discussed herein. The cartridge can contain a patient sample, such as a blood sample. The cartridge is inserted into the reader and the patient sample is analyzed. The reader contains various analysis systems, such as an electrophoresis detection system that uses electrophoresis testing to identify and quantify various components of the blood sample. The reader can process data from the various patient sample analysis to provide interpretative results indicative of a disorder, condition, disease, or infection of the patient.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2023Publication date: December 14, 2023Inventors: Peter Galen, Umut Atakan Gurkan, Muhammad Noman Hasan, James Daren Bledsoe, Tyler Witte

Patent number: 9692445Abstract: A system includes a storage device containing machine instructions and a plurality of digital values of an oversampled sinuisoidal signal. The system also includes a core coupled to the storage. The core is configured to execute the machine instructions, wherein, when executed, the machine instructions cause the core to implement a sigma-delta modulator that retrieves the plurality of digital values from the storage device as input to the modulator. The sigma-delta modulator is configured compute an output bit stream. The system further includes an analog filter configured to receive the output bit stream from the core and to low-pass filter the output bit stream to produce a sinusoidal output signal.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2016Date of Patent: June 27, 2017Assignee: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATEDInventors: Brent Peterson, Joonsung Park, Krishnaswamy Nagaraj, Tyler Witt
