  • Patent number: 9475199
Abstract: A robotic manipulator arm is disclosed. The arm includes joints that are attachable and detachable in a tool-free manner via a universal mating adapter. The universal mating adapter includes a built-in electrical interface for an operative electrical connection upon mechanical coupling of the adapter portions. The universal mating adapter includes mechanisms and the ability to store and communicate parameter configurations such that the joints can be rearranged for immediate operation of the arm without further reprogramming, recompiling, or other software intervention.

  • Publication number: 20160157571
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a telescoping band system that may be used to fasten an object to another object. An example of such a system is a watch band for securing a wrist watch to a user. The telescoping band system includes a plurality of linking elements that are coupled together. Additionally, one or more pass through elements extend through the linking elements. When the pass through elements are pulled, the linking elements move closer together. As such, the telescoping band system and adjust to the size of the object, such as the user's arm.

  • Patent number: 9285776
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a tightening apparatus, a wristband having the same, and a wristwatch having the same. In one embodiment, a plurality of pieces are coupled together and to a housing, and have one or more wires running through at least a first piece and a second piece of the plurality of pieces. The first and second pieces of the plurality of pieces are spaced a distance apart. The housing partially encloses at least a ratchet having a center axis, and a spool coupled to the ratchet, the spool being rotatable about an axis that is collinear with the center axis. The one or more wires are coupled to the spool, and are configured to wind around the spool when the spool rotates. As the spool rotates, the distance between at least the first and second pieces of the plurality of pieces is reduced.
