Abstract: A motion compensated apparatus that can be used as a sleeping platform, stabilizer. The discomfort and danger of a moving surface associated with a ship at sea is well known. The motion of such a surface causes considerable distress in humans and animals. Servos can expand and contract to position the upper portion of the assembly at various angles with respect to the lower portion and to cancel accelerations caused by pitching and rolling. The servos can be controlled by a control system that is driven by a set of motion sensors or a gyro. The sensors or gyro sense the instantaneous position of the deck with respect to an absolute level virtual reference plane. The control system continuously adjusts the apparatus to remain parallel to the absolute level plane. The system contains a quick enough response to track the fast motion encountered on a ship to yield a smooth and comfortable ride according to control system principles.

Abstract: An improved, interactive drag strip amusement ride that satisfies the need for a ride where any person can safely experience the thrills of a drag race and the requirements placed on a drag race driver. It comprises an apparatus for accurately simulating a drag race from the perspective of the race driver. The driver interactively controls the acceleration, gearshifting, and braking as if in an actual drag race.

Abstract: An amusement ride down a ramp containing two air suspension flumes and a return conveyor belt system. The ramp is in a climate controlled transparent housing. There is ducting in the ramp for air conditioning, compressed air, and other possible fluid needs along the ramp and at its top portion. The upper half of the housing may be transparent. The cars have a transparent canopy and enclose room enough for three passengers. The ramp has modular sections supported by stanchions the height of which are hydraulically adjustable by automatic sensing devices; possibly using laser light or other types of electrical sensing apparatuses.
