Abstract: An aircraft shelter comprises a rear shelter section for covering a rear section of an aircraft in a protective manner. A front shelter section extends from the forward edge of the rear shelter section and is movable between a closed position for covering all or at least a substantial portion of the front aircraft section in a protective manner and an open position for enabling entry and exit of the aircraft. The front section cover is made of a flexible fabric material and is supported in the closed position by a front support beam and a front support post. The aircraft shelter will protect various types of aircraft from the elements, occupies a small footprint, and is easily manufactured and installed without the need for significant site preparation work or foundation. The aircraft shelter could optionally be locked in its closed position to reduce risk of theft.
