    Abstract: A building block having at least one shape in the building block which includes a sealed volume surrounded by the shape, where the shape includes a transparent front and transparent rear to allow light to pass through the front and the rear and enter into a building partially or fully covered by the building block. There is at least one iris aperture diaphragm on the rear of each of at least one shape which is positioned to let all light pass into the building, each of the at least one iris aperture diaphragm having an adjustable opening to control how much light passes into the building.
