Abstract: Embodiments are directed to deterring pests using a user-customizable array of spikes buried under the surface of the ground. A system is provided for deterring pests using a user-customizable array of spikes buried under the surface of the ground. The system includes a lattice sheet with one or more interconnected segments, where each interconnected segment includes various recipient nodules configured to receive pest deterring spikes. In this way, the lattice sheet comprises a user-customizable array of pest deterring spikes. The pest deterring system also includes various pest deterring spikes, each of which is fastened orthogonally to at least one of the recipient nodules on the lattice sheet, so that the pest deterring spikes are positioned toward the ground surface.
