  • Patent number: 10469976
Abstract: A wearable electronic device includes a microphone array, stereo speakers and a control circuit. The microphone array is configured for sensing an environmental sound. The control circuit is coupled to the microphone array and the speaker. The control circuit is operable to calculate a distance and a directional angle from a source of the environmental sound to the wearable electronic device according to the environmental sound sensed by the microphone array, to generate an effect sound corresponding to the environmental sound, to process the effect sound for simulating the effect sound to be originated from a virtual location with the distance and the directional angle relative to the wearable electronic device, and to broadcast the processed effect sound through the pair of speakers.

  • Publication number: 20090139225
Abstract: The invention provides a hydraulic inerter mechanism, including: a hydraulic cylinder; a hydraulic motor connected to the hydraulic cylinder, with an output shaft thereon for converting the motion of the hydraulic cylinder from rectilinear motion to rotary motion; and an inertia body disposed on the output shaft. In operation, an external force applied to the inerter mechanism causes displacement of the piston, thereby pushing working fluid inside the hydraulic cylinder to generate a pressure difference between an inlet and an outlet of a hydraulic motor. The differential pressure consequently drives the hydraulic motor to rotate, and then the output shaft further drives the inertia body to rotate, thereby attaining inerter characteristics.
