In the method, multiple characteristic values measured from a battery during operation of the battery are captured via a data capturing device to form a characteristic curve. Curve fitting is performed on the characteristic curve to obtain a curve error. According to the magnitude of the curve error, it is determined whether the battery is normal. When the determination result is abnormal, a step-curvature radius analysis is performed on the characteristic curve to determine whether the battery is normal.

    Abstract: In an embodiment, a distance measuring device comprises an absolute distance measuring module, a tracking module, a two-axis rotating mechanism and a signal controlling and processing module to track an object and measure a distance between the distance measuring device and the object. The absolute distance measuring module measures an absolute distance between the distance measuring device and the object. The absolute distance measuring module and the tracking module are combined by using a dichroic beam splitter, and then all of them are further disposed in the two-axis rotating mechanism. When the object moves, a tracking optical path changes accordingly. A quadrant photodetector of the absolute distance measuring module detects the changes to avoid the distance measuring optical path being interrupted, and generates and transmits the signal to the signal controlling and processing module for controlling the two-axis rotating mechanism to rotate, thereby tracking the object.

    Abstract: In an embodiment, a distance measuring device comprises an absolute distance measuring module, a tracking module, a two-axis rotating mechanism and a signal controlling and processing module to track an object and measure a distance between the distance measuring device and the object. The absolute distance measuring module measures an absolute distance between the distance measuring device and the object.     Abstract: A system for laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is provided. The system for the LIBS includes a laser module generating a first pulse laser and a second pulse laser. An optical delay device incident by the second pulse laser is used to increase an optical path of the second pulse laser. A Kerr medium incident by the second pulse laser generates a time gate, and allows a plasma light beam generated from a sample incident by the first pulse laser, passing through the time gate and being output at a time point. A detection device receives and measures the plasma light beam output at the time point to generate a signal. A processing module connected to the detection device detects a signal, and compares the signal with a data base to obtain information concerning a composition and element concentrations of the sample.

The ordinal comb number where the beat frequency is generated is determined by measuring the ordinal comb number difference where the two beat frequencies are generated at different repetition rates so as to obtain the frequency of the LUM. The ordinal comb number difference is measured by using a dispersion device to offer an approximate ordinal comb number or by operating a mode-locked laser at three different repetition rates.

    Abstract: A scheduled task executing method is used in a computer system and a peripheral device. The computer system has a time generator for generating time information and a memory. When the computer system is in a working state, a user input interface is provided, a scheduled time is set via the user input interface, and the scheduled time is automatically stored in the memory. When the computer system is in a power off state, electricity is continuously supplied to the time generator and the memory. If the time information and the scheduled time comply with a specified relation, a power control signal is generated. In response to the power control signal, the computer is switched from the power off state to the working state. When the computer system is in the working status, the peripheral device is activated to execute a scheduled task item corresponding to the scheduled time.

While continuously receiving video signals, the video module sets a first section index when a scene difference between a first frame and a second frame represented by a portion of the video signals is greater than a predetermined scene difference wherein the first section index points to a start time of the second frame. Then, the video module stores the first section index and stores the video signals corresponding to the second frame into the data buffer. After retrieving the first section index, the monitor presents the video signals from the second frame points by the first section index.
