Abstract: A Roman shade is provided with a child safety device that includes a plurality of release devices configured for attachment to the shade material of the Roman shade. Each release device includes a female member and a male member that releasably connect together such that one member is attached to the shade material and the other member has an opening through which a lift cord passes. The male member and female member of each release device are sized and configured to separate when a release force acts on at least one of the female members and male members. A kit for retrofitting Roman shades to include such safety devices is also disclosed.

Abstract: A window covering is provided that includes a first rail and window covering material positioned adjacent to the first rail. One or more telescoping tubes are attached to the headrail and extend to the window covering material or to a bottom rail. The one or more telescoping tubes retract when the window covering material is retracted and extend when the window covering material is extended. Some embodiments of the window covering may include one or more lift cords. Portions of the one or more lift cords may extend from a lift mechanism through the telescoping tubes.

Abstract: A window covering is disclosed that has a safety device that includes a first cord segment having stops spaced along the first cord segment, and a second cord segment having stops spaced along the second cord segment. The first cord segment and the second cord segment extend from respective end caps. The end caps are configured to connect to the ends of a bottom rail. A first anchor is connected to the first cord segment, and a second anchor is connected to the second cord segment. At least one of the first end cap and the first anchor is configured to releasably connect to the first cord segment at a selected stop on the first cord segment and at least one of the second anchor and the second end cap is configured to releasably connect to the second cord segment at a selected stop on the second cord segment.

At least one lift cord release device is attached to the window covering material. Each cord release device includes a clip portion, a first member and a second member. The clip portion is attached to the first and second members. The first and second members are sized and configured to releasably interconnect such that the first and second members at least partially define an opening sized to receive and releasably hold at least one lift cord when the first and second members are interconnected. The first and second members are also configured to separate and release the at least one lift cord when a release force exerted by any lift cord that is within the opening acts on the first or second member.

Abstract: A Roman shade includes a head beam; a top rail located below the head beam; a shade body having an upper portion attached to the top rail; and a lift control unit including a plurality of lift locks mounted on the head beam for controlling the top rail and the shade body to stop at any desired lifted position, a plurality of first lift cords passed through one of the lift locks to fasten to a lower portion of the shade body, and a plurality of second lift cords passed through the other lift lock to fasten to the top rail. When the first lift cords are pulled to different extents, the shade body is lifted or lowered; and when the second lift cords are pulled to different extents, the top rail is caused to move toward or away from the head beam.

Abstract: A foldable traverse rod includes a rod assembly and a slide assembly. The rod assembly has a first and a second rod portion connected end to end via a hinge, such that the second rod portion may be turned about the hinge to a folded position to locate on a top of the first rod portion, or to an extended position to locate in line with the first rod portion. Both of the first and the second rod portion are internally correspondingly divided into a plurality of slide channels. The slide assembly includes a plurality of link bars separately mounted in the slide channels of the rod assembly. The link bars may be sequentially pulled outward or pushed inward via a linkage system.

Abstract: A safety mechanism for a window blind includes a fixing member mounted to a head rail of the window blind, and a clamping member connected to a second end of a lift cord of the window blind. The clamping member includes a C-shaped ring portion normally compressively clamped around a protruded portion of the fixing member. When the second end of the lift cord is subjected to an exceeded downward load, the C-shaped ring portion is forced to separate from the protruded portion and accordingly disengages the lift cord from the head rail. Therefore, an accident possibly caused by a lift cord wound around and tightened against a child's neck may be avoided to ensure safe use of the window blind.

Abstract: A safety buckle of a curtain comprises a curtain body and an upper beam; an auto slide-stop installed within the upper beam for controlling the curtain body to a predetermined position; and a control rope set having a first end and a second end which are at opposite sides. The first end is a rope and the second end. The safety buckle comprises a male pin having a body portion and a guide end. The body portion is positioned at a bottom of the guide end and is connected to a distal end of the rope. A female pin is firmly secured to the upper beam and has a pin seat. The pin seat is formed with a hollow guide hole. When the ropes are pulled, the male pin is separated from the female pin so that the upper beam and the ropes are in a safe state.

Abstract: A blind includes a structural assembly including a head rail, a bottom stiffener strip, horizontal slats suspended between the head rail and the stiffener strip, and two spaced lines started from the stiffener strip, passed the slats, and terminated at the head rail such that manipulating the lines will raise or lower the slats; a drapery assembly including front and back semitransparent sheets of drapery material and horizontal stiffener members spaced on the sheets of drapery material; and vertically spaced positioning assemblies. Any two adjacent positioning assemblies are adapted to dispose at least one of the slats therebetween. The positioning assemblies are adapted to releasably secure to the stiffener members.

Abstract: A roman shade with folding sheets includes a head rail, two brakes, two cords, two ladder tapes each having a top mounted to the head rail and comprising folding members, foldable sheets, and rings provided on the ladder tapes and connected to the top ends of the sheets. A bottom of the bottom sheet is mounted to a bottom of the ladder tape. Each ring is mounted about one cord which having its bottom end tied off at a top of the bottom sheet. Pulling one cord will raise or lower the sheets. Each folding member has a top mounted to the top of the sheet. The other cord is connected to bottoms of the folding members. Pulling the other cord will lift bottoms of the folding members to wrap the sheets about the tops thereof. Stopping pulling either cord will position the shade or the sheets at a desired position.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a two-piece curtain, which includes an upper beam; a front curtain cloth and a rear curtain cloth which are separately bonded on or taken apart from the front side and rear side of the upper beam by using a self-bonding means; and plural clamping sheets provided between the front and the rear curtain clothes for their moving together; thereby the both curtain clothes are either moved up/gathered together or moved/hanged down at the same time by pulling or releasing a lanyard.
