  • Publication number: 20070233496
Abstract: A multi-function digitizer is provided, which contains a speaker unit and a microphone unit, in addition to the digitizing board and stylus. A user's handwriting traces and voice are collected by the digitizing board and the microphone unit respectively, delivered by the digitizer to a computer, and then processed and forwarded by the computer to the other party over a network to which the computer is connected. On the other hand, the voice of the other party is transmitted over the network to the computer, processed and forwarded by the computer to the digitizer, and then presented through the speaker unit.

  • Publication number: 20060227118
Abstract: A digital notepad which records not only the trace but also the style of the trace is provided. The digital notepad provides a set of dedicated writing tools, each of which would issue a predetermined radio signal representing the writing tool's pen color, pen style, and tool type. When a user uses one of the writing tools to write on a piece of paper in a designated area on the digital notepad, the writing tool issues the predetermined radio signal. The digital notepad could recognize the radio signal and store the relevant style information along with the trace data of the writing tool into a memory of the digital notepad, which later could be retrieved and reproduced on a computer.

  • Patent number: 6879299
Abstract: The present invention provides an antenna loop and its layout for low-level digital tablets. The antenna loop for low-level digital tablets in the present invention consists of enameled wire; the layout comprises a single antenna loop consisting of enameled wire. Each antenna loop comprises a plurality of close circles. Furthermore, the circles of odd ordinal numbers comprise odd sections, for instance, the third circle comprises three sections; the circles of even ordinal numbers comprise even sections, for instance, the fourth circle comprises four sections; each section comprises induction areas of substantially the same size. Furthermore, the final section is an open section so that through which the second terminal of the enameled wire loop can stretch out and electrically couple with the ground wire.

  • Publication number: 20050032030
Abstract: A digital notebook with ASIC has disclosed in the present invention. By way of electromagnetic induction to detect the handwriting trail, a digital data can be introduced by the ASIC and stored in a storage media. Beside, the digital data can be shared by transmitting through the transmission interface to other electrical instruments, wherein the electrical instruments can be personal computer, PDA, printer, mobile-phone or other electrical apparatuses with the capability of receiving, displaying and arranging digital data.

  • Patent number: 6529067
Abstract: A power saving device for a wireless pointer includes a first resistor, a second capacitor, a signal generation circuit, and a bias control circuit including an n-type channel MOSFET having a drain connected to the signal generation circuit at a second node for driving the signal generation circuit, a switch having one end connected to a gate of the n-type channel MOSFET at a first node, a semiconductor means having an anode connected to the gate of the n-type channel MOSFET at the first node and a cathode connected to the positive terminal of the power source, and a first capacitor in series connection with the semiconductor means. When wireless pointer is inoperative, then the switch will open automatically to cause the leakage current of the reverse biased semiconductor means to charge the first capacitor. When the switch is closed, the first capacitor discharges completely so as to cut off the n-type channel MOSFET.
