A proposed data searching method includes: extracting a portion of characters of each data string to form a characteristic character set for the data string; receiving an input value sequence; and searching out at least one target data from the plurality of data strings, where the target data includes characters corresponding to the input value sequence, and the characteristic character set of the target data has one character corresponding to a leading character of the input value sequence.
