  • Publication number: 20230313608
Abstract: A window covering includes a positional adjustment mechanism. The positional adjustment mechanism can be utilized to adjust a position of window covering material or lift cords passed through and/or connected to such material for positional adjustment of the window covering material between a fully retracted position and a fully extended position. A tension adjustment mechanism for the window covering positional adjustment mechanism can be configured to permit a user to adjust an amount of force that may be needed to be applied to a bottom rail or the window covering material to effect a raising or lowering of the window covering material to provide a more desired level of precision in the height adjustment of the window covering material. A resistance mechanism can also (or alternatively) be provided to provide additional drag force to improve precision in height adjustment.

  • Patent number: 10550635
Abstract: A window covering includes a first rail and a plurality of non-moving elements arranged adjacent at least one spring motor positioned in the first rail. The non-moving elements contact at least one lift cord for routing of the lift cord through the first rail to increase friction incurred during motion of the lift cord(s) that takes place during height adjustment of window covering material. Non-moving members can also be positioned to contact at least one lift cord for routing of the lift cord through the first rail to increase friction incurred during motion of the lift cord(s) that takes place during height adjustment of window covering material. The non-moving elements and non-moving members can be positioned in the first rail such that they do not move relative to the first rail when the window covering is mounted and installed for use by a user to adjustably cover a window.

  • Patent number: 10156094
Abstract: A window covering can be configured as roll-up shade. The window covering can have a plurality of clips that are configured to be moveable from a first position in which the clips engage window covering material and a second position at which the clips do not engage the window covering material. When the clips are in the second position, the window covering material is manually adjustable from between a fully extended position to a retracted position. When the window covering material is moved to a retracted position, the lower portion of the window covering material may be rolled up upon height adjustment to form a roll of the window covering material. After the adjustment of the window covering material, the clips can be moved to their first position to engage the unrolled material to maintain a position of the rolled up material.
