  • Publication number: 20100265009
Abstract: A stacked LC resonator includes a parallel-plate capacitor, a dielectric layer and a spiral inductor. The parallel-plate capacitor has a first metal layer, a second metal layer opposed to the first metal layer and a middle dielectric layer formed between the first and second metal layers. The dielectric layer is formed on the second metal layer of the parallel-plate capacitor. The spiral inductor is formed on the dielectric layer and electrically connected with the first and second metal layers of the parallel-plate capacitor.

  • Publication number: 20070018718
Abstract: The microwave transmitter of the present invention can perform two-terminal dynamic modulation with respect to the voltage supply terminal and the RF input terminal of a RF power amplifier. The microwave transmitter of the present invention comprises a first modulator and a second modulator. The first modulator uses the baseband digital delta-sigma modulation technique to process the envelope signal and outputs this signal to the voltage supply terminal of the RF power amplifier as a supply voltage. The second modulator uses the baseband digital pre-distortion technique to process the IQ-modulated carrier and outputs this signal to the RF input terminal of the RF power amplifier as a RF input signal. Thereby, the RF power amplifier can highly efficiently reconstruct the power-amplified RF modulated carrier without distortion at the RF output terminal.

  • Patent number: 6335942
Abstract: The invention is a frequency stabilized passive Q-switch laser, which has the advantages of small volume, simple structure, no need for high power voltage, etc. It has been a long time that timing jitter in conventional lasers is so large that they can not be applied to fields such as distance measurement. This invention utilizes an optical external modulation method to stabilize the repetition rate of the passive Q-switch, and thus to decrease its timing jitter. At the same time, the repetition rate of the Q-switch laser can be controlled by the same technology to meet various application needs.

  • Patent number: 5767809
Abstract: An antenna is disclosed with a first Z-shaped strip resonant element disposed in a first plane. The first strip resonant element has first and second identical sized and shaped, parallel, longitudinal strip segments. The first strip resonant element also has a third segment which connects diagonally opposite ends of the first and second strip segments. The antenna also has a second Z-shaped strip resonant element disposed in a second plane that is parallel to the first plane. The second strip resonant element has fourth and fifth identical sized and shaped, parallel longitudinal strip segments. The second strip resonant element also has a sixth segment, having identical dimensions and an identical shape as the third segment, which connects diagonally opposite ends of the fourth and fifth segments. The second Z-shaped strip resonant element is disposed in the second plane so that the sixth segment overlies said third segment and so that said first, second, fourth and fifth segments overlie a rectangle.
