    Abstract: An improved apparatus for evaluating the practical impact resistance of synthetic resinous products employing a pneumatically operated apparatus for repeatedly raising and dropping an impact hammer against an impact member which is oriented generally normal to a synthetic resinous product sample which, in turn, is maintained in a generally fixed position with respect to the impact member so that the impact energy which results when the impact hammer strikes the impact member impacts with the sample at generally the same point with each repetition, said impact energy being of a magnitude such that there is substantially no rebounding of the impact member from the synthetic resinous product sample.
