Abstract: A description is given of a pharmaceutical form for oral administration consisting of a two- or three-layers tablet, wherein at least one layer can rapidly swell by contact with biological and/or aqueous fluids, said swelling resulting in a considerable increase in the tablet volume. Said phenomenon determines a prolonged residence of the pharmaceutical form at the gastric level and therefore allows a slow release of the active ingredient from said pharmaceutical form to the stomach and/or the first tract of the intestine.

Abstract: A process is described for preparing pharmaceutical compositions by co-grinding or dry mixing the active substance with cyclodextrins or with hydrophilic polymer materials which swell on contact with water. Homogeneous compositions are obtained from which the active substance is released very rapidly into an aqueous medium.

Abstract: A tablet for pharmaceutical use able to release active substances at successive times, comprising at least; a first layer containing a portion of the active substance with suitable excipients, a barrier layer of polymer material gellable and/or soluble in water and/or aqueous liquids, which is interposed between said first layer and a third layer containing the remaining portion of active substance with suitable excipients, said barrier layer and said third layer being housed in a casing consisting of polymer material impermeable and insoluble in water or soluble in an alkaline environment.That part of the active substance not inserted in the casing is immediately available for dissolving, whereas the part inserted in the casing is available only after dissolution or rupture of the barrier layer and/or after solubilization of the casing.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel pharmacologically active salt derivative, constituted by 4-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-1-(2,4,6-trimethoxy-phenyl)-1-butanone 3-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)-2-methylisonicotinaldehyde-5-phosphate, to the process for the production thereof, and to the related pharmaceutical compositions.Said salt derivative is produced by reacting 3-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)-2-methylisonicotinaldehyde-5-phosphoric acid with 4-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-1-(2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl)-3-butanone in an organic solvent and subsequently crystallizing the reaction product.Said salt derivative carries out an important pharmacological activity as inhibitor of platelet aggregation with vasodilative action.
