  • Publication number: 20160139996
Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and device that providing a unified storage for backup and disaster recovery includes capturing a recent snapshot of one or more file systems associated with a client computing device. The captured recent snapshot is stored in a secondary storage device. One or more changes to one or more files in the one or more file systems are determined by comparing the stored recent snapshot against an initial snapshot. A response to a disaster recovery request or a backup request based on the determined one or more changes to the one or more file systems is provided.

  • Patent number: 9231995
Abstract: A system and method for providing asynchrony in web services, such as Java-based web services, including in some instances use of a distributed in-memory data grid. Embodiments of the system allow a client application or client to make requests upon a server application or service. A queuing feature, such as one or more Java Message Service (JMS) queues, can be used to store incoming requests at the server side, to support asynchronous behavior. In accordance with an embodiment, instead of or in addition to JMS, the system can use a distributed in-memory data grid, such as Oracle Coherence, to provide queuing functionality.

  • Patent number: 7836213
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method including receiving a read request at a first buffer from a first one of multiple interfaces and forwarding the read request from the first buffer to a first memory controller of multiple memory controllers, where the first buffer is dedicated to the first memory controller. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20070171833
Abstract: A method to be executed within a computing system having a network that couples a processor to a memory controller is described. The method involves receiving a packet and then characterizing the packet as being of a type selected from the group consisting of: i) a debug packet; ii) a system maintenance packet; and, iii) a packet having a destination identifier or connection identifier for which a primary routing table has no entry. The method also involves, because the packet is of the type, using a secondary routing table to identify at least one output port upon which the packet is to be transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20060194989
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method of hydrogenating a phenol for hydrogenating a phenol industrially advantageously. The present invention relates, in the case of phenol hydrogenation in which carbon dioxide is made to participate in the reaction, to a method of hydrogenating a phenol characterized by using a supported rhodium and/or ruthenium catalyst, whereby the phenol is hydrogenated efficiently at a lower reaction temperature than with prior art; such a method characterized in that carbon dioxide having a temperature of 20 to 250° C. and a pressure of 0.1 to 50 MPa is used as the carbon dioxide; and such a method characterized in that hydrogen under conditions of a temperature of 20 to 250° C. and a pressure of 0.1 to 50 MPa is used. An environmentally friendly phenol hydrogenation process that uses no harmful organic solvents can be realized.
