  • Patent number: 12102435
Abstract: A system, devices, and methods are described for imaging and measuring the mechanical properties of both surface and subcutaneous tissues found in living organisms, animals, and in natural and synthetic materials, and may include a first device configured to determine a modulus of a portion of bulk material or subcutaneous tissue (via measurement of vibrations), and/or determine resonant frequency of the vibrations, and a second device operably connected to the first device and configured to generate vibrations. The first device may be an optical coherence tomography device. The system may include a processor and data storage device with instructions which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to process of the frequency data and the displacement data to determine a resonant frequency of the material under investigation and calculate the mechanical modulus of elasticity of the material from a resonance frequency spectrum of the analyzed spectral image.

  • Patent number: 7194254
Abstract: A wireless communication device (10) includes an external memory interconnect (50) for operatively connecting to a memory storage device (105), a processor (40), and a browser application (70). The processor (40) is programmed to retrieve a restricted URL list file (140) from the memory storage device (105) via the external memory interconnect (50). The browser application (70) is programmed to compare a desired URL to the restricted URL list file (140), and restrict access to the desired URL when the desired URL is contained within the restricted URL list file (140).

  • Patent number: 7088988
Abstract: Methods (100, 200, 300) in a wireless portable communication device and wireless communication network for resolving subsidy lock by transmitting and receiving messages over-the-air are provided. Upon entering a restricted mode of operation (118, 204), the wireless portable communication device transmits a request to the wireless communication network requesting to deactivate the restricted mode of operation (120, 212). In response, the wireless portable communication device receives a message deactivating the restricted mode of operation (122, 214).

  • Publication number: 20050130629
Abstract: A method in a messaging service subscriber device including a removable smart card having information particular to a user of the messaging service subscriber device, for example, a GSM subscriber device having a subscriber identification module (SIM). The method includes receiving (230) a message via the messaging service, evaluating (240) the message received relative to a message profile stored on the smart card, and disposing (250, 260) of the message received based on the evaluation of the message received relative to the message profile stored on the removable smart card.
