Abstract: Systems and methods for interference-based switching are described. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: while connected to a first communication channel provided by a first access point, detect wireless interference in a second communication channel provided by a second access point; score the second access point, at least in part, based upon the wireless interference; and switch from the first communication channel to the second communication channel, at least in part, based upon the score.

In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: receive link capabilities for each of a plurality of communication links available to the IHS; receive link requirements for each of a plurality of applications executed by the IHS; and assign at least one of the plurality of applications to at least one of the plurality of communication links, at least in part, by matching a subset of link requirements to a subset of link capabilities.
