  • Patent number: 6916114
Abstract: An apparatus for the addition of a compound or compound mixture to another which includes a primary vessel adapted having at least one receptacle adapted to contain at least one primary substance. At least one secondary vessel is provided. Each secondary vessel is adapted to contain at least one secondary substance. Each secondary vessel is movably mounted within the primary vessel for movement between a stored position and at least one mixing position. In the stored position, a peripheral edge of each secondary vessel is above a level of the at least one primary substance. In each mixing position the peripheral edge of the secondary vessel is moved below the level of the at least one receptacle containing the at least one primary substance, thereby permitting the at least one primary substance to overflow the peripheral edge into the secondary vessel with the at least one secondary substance.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 20, 2002
Date of Patent: July 12, 2005
    Inventor: Udo Hendrick Verkerk
  • Patent number: 6670512
Abstract: The present invention seeks to provide novel tetraarylethylene compounds which are substituted on the aryl rings ortho to the ethylenic carbon atoms and processes for the preparation for such compounds. The compounds have potential use as molecular templates.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 21, 2002
Date of Patent: December 30, 2003
Inventors: Jeffrey Mark Stryker, Udo Hendrick Verkerk, Megumi Fujita, Makoto Yasuda

  • Patent number: 5310855
Abstract: The aromatic formaldehyde condensation products, which are substantially colorless and water-soluble and contain sulphonate and/or carboxylate groups, are obtainable by adding agents which have a reducing action during and/or after the condensation reaction, and are suitable for the treatment of textiles and leather.

  • Patent number: 4629468
Abstract: The treatment of cellulosic fibre materials before or after dyeing or printing with direct or reactive dyestuffs is carried out with aqueous liquors which contain quaternized polyethers which are obtained by condensation of N-2-hydroxyalkylamines of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, independently of each other, denote hydrogen or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl radical andR denotes a C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 -alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl radical or one of the hydroxyalkyl groups ##STR2## with the proviso that the amount of N-2-hydroxyalkylamines in which R stands for a hydroxyalkyl group accounts for no more than 20 percent by weight of the hydroxyalkylamines used,if desired by co-condensation with polyols of the formulaA(OH).sub.n IIin whichA denotes a 2-, 3- or 4-valent aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic radical andn is a number from 2 to 4,and subsequent quaternization.
