  • Patent number: 12008979
Abstract: An internal cleaning device for a wind instrument which has a central channel and at least one tone hole which opens into the central channel. The internal cleaning device has a rod. The internal cleaning device has a rod with a rod end region and a rod start region. For reliably cleaning the tone holes of the corresponding wind instrument, a central channel sealing device is formed at the end region and a central channel insert or attachment is formed at the rod start region. The central channel insert or attachment has at least one fluid passage opening and/or the rod is a tube open at the rod start region and closed at the rod end region. A peripheral wall of the tube is formed with at least one tube opening.

  • Patent number: 7534947
Abstract: An oboe reed gouge device has a carriage upon which a blade is carried at an angle to raw cane material from which a reed is formed. The carriage is rotatably and longitudinally slidable on a rod to move relative to the cane. The rod has opposing end segments with coincident axes that are offset from the axis of a central rod segment. By rotating the rod about the axes of the end segments, the carriage, which is mounted on the central rod segment, is moved laterally relative to the cane. By mounting a gauge finger against the central rod segment, the amount of lateral displacement can be measured and displayed. A groove is formed in the carriage, and the blade is mounted in the groove using a pin with a drive screw, and a second screw to lock the blade in position.
