  • Patent number: 11322130
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for airborne-sound acoustic monitoring of an exterior and/or an interior of a vehicle, in which at least one microphone (1) is used to convert airborne sound into an electrical signal (S) and to route it for evaluation purposes to a device for voice and/or sound recognition (2). According to the invention, the electrical signal (S) is subjected to a pre-evaluation in a device for trigger detection (3), and detection of a trigger results in the device for voice and/or sound recognition (2) being moved from an inactive or partially active state to a fully active state by means of the device for trigger detection (3). Further, the invention relates to an apparatus for airborne-sound acoustic monitoring of an exterior and/or an interior of a vehicle and to a vehicle having such an apparatus. The subject matter of the invention is also a computer-readable storage medium.

  • Publication number: 20190149934
Abstract: A device (1) for airborne sound acoustic sensing of the surroundings of a vehicle, the device (1), comprising at least one microphone (2), which is integrated in a housing (3) which, in the region of the microphone (2), has at least one opening (4) for the entry of sound waves. According to the invention, in the region of the opening (4) and at a distance from the microphone (2) there is arranged at least one film or membrane (5) which, together with the microphone (2) and the housing (3), delimits an ante-volume (6), the cross-sectional area of which increases from inside to outside in relation to the housing (3), so that a cross sectional area (A) of the ante-volume (6) adjacent to the film or membrane (5) is greater than a cross sectional area (B) of the ante-volume (6) adjacent to the microphone (2).

  • Patent number: 8039262
Abstract: A method for controlling a tissue processor and a tissue processor for processing tissue samples is described. A retort is provided including a cover that can be opened and closed by an operator. The retort cover is closed prior to tissue processing. The actuation state of a first and a second operating element can be determined. An operator is prompted to confirm unlocking of the closed retort cover by actuating a second operating element. The tissue processing is interrupted when an actuation of the second operating element is determined and the closed retort cover is unlocked and is continued after the retort cover is once again locked. After having completed tissue processing the retort cover is unlocked. By means of the described method and tissue processor improper intervention during ongoing tissue processing is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4711101
Abstract: A flat-bed knitting machine having a needle bed apparatus and an associated carriage apparatus movable longitudinally thereon and having a data processing unit which controls the cams and/or selector units among others and store pattern information in memory and which has an input keyboard is described. To make the input keyboard accessible to the operator of such a machine during observation of the knitting process, yet not have this keyboard hinder access to the essential parts of the machine, the input keyboard is disposed, from the standpoint of the machine operator, at the level of and in an area in front of the needle bed and carriage apparatus in the longitudinal direction of the machine, in front of a transparent cover, which is also movable in the longitudinal direction of the machine, keyboard being movable parallel to and independently of this cover.
