  • Publication number: 20110269653
Abstract: The invention relates to a chain lubricant or belt lubricant, having a silicone oil, a multifunctional amine and at least one additive, selected from the group consisting of anionic, nonionic, cationic and/or amphoteric surfactants as an emulsion in an aqueous phase. This is an amine selected from amine salts in which the cation comprises primary, secondary, tertiary and/or quaternary amines and the anion as an organic group has a molecular weight greater than 350, preferably greater than 400. The invention also relates to a method for the water-reduced lubrication of conveyor belts for bottles, cans, other containers and boxes, wherein said chain lubricant or belt lubricant is applied to the surface of the conveyor belt at intervals as an emulsion in an aqueous phase together with added water of less than 30 vol %, preferably less than 20 vol %. The invention also relates to the use for water-reduced lubrication of conveyor belts made of metal or plastic for a very broad field of applications.
