Abstract: A system and methodology for implementing an all-Internet Protocol for voice and data communications on a code division multiple access (CDMA) network. An access control server is employed to handle packetized communications within the CDMA network. The methodology is preferably also employed when migrating from a legacy, circuited-switched system to the improved packet-switched, all-IP CDMA system of the present invention.

Abstract: A method and system for transmitting specific information, such as access specific roaming information and/or application specific information, between a home network and a visiting access network is provided. The home network and visiting network are capable of communicating access independent information in a protocol, such as a AAA protocol. The access and/or application specific information is formatted in the AAA protocol. The access and/or application specific information is then transmitted over a public IP network between the home network and the visiting network. A system is provided for transmitting access and/or application information between a visiting network and a home network over a public IP network. A control access server in the visiting access network formats the access information using a secure AAA protocol to form formatted access information. An application server formats application specific information.

Abstract: The invention is an improved credit card utilizing a die-cut removable portion which enables both visual and/or mechanical disablement of the card. The die-cut portion is preferably in the shape of a conventional key providing a visual indicator of the missing link necessary to make the card operational. The die-cut portion of the card may encompass identifying indicia such as the owner's name, the card expiration date, the numerical identification number, and/or the magnetic strip. Variations of the die-cut key allow certain aspects of the card to remain enabled should the removed key be accidentally lost. The invention requires that the key lock system be carried separately from the credit card thus frustrating pick-pockets or instances where the cards are otherwise stolen or lost. A second embodiment of the invention includes the use of the die-cut portion placed within two side surfaces of a credit card device.
