    Abstract: A rail assembly for a longitudinal seat adjustment system of a vehicle seat has a lower rail for fastening to a vehicle floor and an upper rail for coupling to the vehicle seat. The upper rail sits form-fittingly in a profile longitudinal slot of the lower rail and it has a number of load rollers supporting the upper rail on a rail bottom of the lower rail for movement in a rail longitudinal direction. The lower and upper rails have mutually engaging form-fitting contours. The contours of the upper rail extend over the load rollers and have recesses in the region of each of the load rollers, through which the load rollers at least partly project, or can project when a load is applied. The lower rail has support edges that face towards the rail bottom and are aligned with the load rollers in the rail height direction.
