  • Publication number: 20160341192
Abstract: An air-driven hydraulic pump, comprising an air motor, and an oil pump, which is operatively connected with the air motor, wherein the air motor includes a cylinder element in which an air piston is arranged movable in a reciprocating manner along a centre axis. The air piston is connected with an oil piston of the oil pump for transmitting the reciprocating movement of the air piston to the oil piston. The air piston separates a first cylinder chamber from a second cylinder chamber within the cylinder element. A control valve element is arranged to control the application of pressurized air from a source of pressurized air to the cylinder element. At least one pressure control valve is arranged in the air motor, allowing an air flow from one of the cylinder chambers to the other cylinder chamber when the pressure difference between the two cylinder chambers exceeds a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 7569120
Abstract: The method is for converting a vertically standing up-flow tower by inserting a freely insertable pipe into the conical part of the up-flow tower the tower is converted to a down-flow tower where the tower can easily be restored to the up-flow tower and optimized with regards to a minimized stagnation volume in the tower. The upper open end of the pipe is disposed at a first distance (A) from the lower part of the conical inlet part. The first distance (A) is less than the total vertical extension (B) of the conical inlet part. The cellulose pulp establishes a self-forming stagnation zone around the pipe at a lower part of the down-flow tower.

  • Publication number: 20090052275
Abstract: The invention concerns an arrangement to counteract problems associated with mixing in steam into a pipe that is transferring a flow of pulp of medium consistency. The arrangement comprises a chamber (101) with a cross-sectional area (A3), and a pre-determined length (x). The chamber (101) is in connection, upstream to the flow of pulp, with a first throttle section (107) that has a cross-sectional area (A1). The addition of steam through supply means (105) takes place in the first throttle section (107). The chamber (101) is in connection, downstream to the flow of pulp, with a second throttle section (122) that has a cross-sectional area (A2). The cross-sectional area (A3) of the chamber is greater than the cross-sectional area (A1) of the first throttle section and the cross-sectional area (A2) of the second throttle section.
