    Abstract: A pressure-resistant reference electrode for electrochemical measurements includes both a half cell and a primary current bridge, provided for closing an electrochemical contact between the half cell and a measurement medium, which current bridge contains a primary electrolyte. The half cell has a reference electrolyte and a lead-off element, dipped into the reference electrolyte, which are disposed in a half-cell chamber that is provided with a primary junction leading to the primary current bridge and is otherwise embodied as medium-proof. The half-cell chamber furthermore has a flexible wall region, which is embodied such that a pressure difference between the primary current bridge and the half cell can be compensated for essentially without convection by the primary junction.
