  • Patent number: 8622316
Abstract: An SCR-injection unit includes an injector, a sleeve element for fixing the injector to a flange of an exhaust gas pipe, and a cooling body. According to the invention, the sleeve element has an elongated thin-walled connecting section, one axial end of which is indirectly connected to the flange of the exhaust gas pipe and the other axial end of which is indirectly connected to a supporting structure for the injector.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 16, 2007
Date of Patent: January 7, 2014
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Rainer Haeberer, Matthias Horn, Ulf-Peter Schmeling

  • Patent number: 7546728
Abstract: A method for operating a catalytic converter used for purifying the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, and a device for implementing the method, which provide for an open-loop or closed-loop control of the reagent fill level in the catalytic converter to a predefined storage setpoint value. The targeted stipulation of the storage setpoint value ensures, on one hand, that in non-stationary states of the internal combustion engine, there is a sufficient quantity of reagent available for the completest possible removal of at least one unwanted exhaust-gas component, and on the other hand, a reagent slip is avoided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 29, 2005
Date of Patent: June 16, 2009
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Wolfgang Ripper, Stefan Wickert, Johannes Schaller, Hartmut Lueders, Christian Walz, Thorsten Mayer, Ralf Schernewski, Matthias Loehr, Ulf-Peter Schmeling

  • Patent number: 6871492
Abstract: A process and a system are used for controlling the mixture composition for an Otto engine with an NOx storage catalyst during a regeneration phase. The process includes controlling, to the value of one, a ?-value (?M) of an exhaust gas fed to the NOx storage catalyst during a regeneration phase as a function of a ?-value (?K) of an exhaust gas emitted by the NOx storage catalyst. The system includes a control device for controlling, to the value of one, a ?-value (?M) of the exhaust gas fed to the NOx storage catalyst during the regeneration phase as a function of the ?-value (?K) of the exhaust gas emitted by the NOx storage catalyst.

Abstract: A process and a system are used for controlling the mixture composition for an Otto engine with an NOx storage catalyst during a regeneration phase. The process includes controlling, to the value of one, a &lgr;-value (&lgr;M) of an exhaust gas fed to the NOx storage catalyst during a regeneration phase as a function of a &lgr;-value (&lgr;K) of an exhaust gas emitted by the NOx storage catalyst. The system includes a control device for controlling, to the value of one, a &lgr;-value (&lgr;M) of the exhaust gas fed to the NOx storage catalyst during the regeneration phase as a function of the &lgr;-value (&lgr;K) of the exhaust gas emitted by the NOx storage catalyst.
