  • Publication number: 20240377257
Abstract: The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for optically characterizing a textile fiber structure. A plurality of pieces of information on the color at different locations of the textile fiber structure are detected by an optical sensor system. The detected color information is transmitted to a computer (107) and is entered into a color space (2) in the form of a scatter plot (31) by the computer. A frequency density distribution (4) of the scatter plot (31) is determined, and the frequency density distribution (4) is numerically specified. The invention allows a change in the material of the textile fiber structure to be ascertained and optimizes the elimination of foreign materials from the textile fiber structure.

  • Patent number: 12077884
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for optimizing a yarn production process in which foreign materials (90) are monitored in a textile fiber formation (9). The textile fiber formation (9) is illuminated with electromagnetic radiation from at least two color ranges. The foreign materials (90) are classified into different color classes according to their colors. If a sufficiently large random sample with classified foreign materials (90) is available, a frequency distribution of the foreign materials is determined for the color classes and compared with a reference frequency distribution. If the determined frequency distribution deviates from the reference frequency distribution, at least one of a set of multiple optimization actions is performed, e.g., a warning signal is output.

  • Patent number: 12043926
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for optimizing a spinning process, through which a fiber material fed in the form of raw fibers and output in the form of yarn passes, with respect to foreign materials. At a first position in the spinning process, a first foreign material information relating to the foreign materials is determined. At a second position in the spinning process, which is downstream with respect to the first position, a second foreign material information relating to the foreign materials is determined. The first foreign material information and the second foreign material information are associated with each other such that they relate to substantially the same sample of the fiber material. Based on the first foreign material information and the second foreign material information assigned thereto, a change is made to the spinning process to optimize the spinning process.

  • Publication number: 20020184233
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and system for an enterprise-wide management of document templates comprising an inheritance scheme that corresponds to the organizational structure of the enterprise. On top of the scheme, a master document class is defined. From the master document class a number of document classes are derived. From the document classes either document instances or further document classes can be derived, preferably depending on the underlying hierarchical enterprise or company organization, as described above. In the present embodiment, from the only one master document class a number of document classes doc_class1, doc_class2, . . . are derived. Exemplarily, from doc_class1 the further document class doc_class3 and the document instance doc_instance1 are created. Finally, from doc_class3 two document instances doc_instance2 and doc_instance3, are derived.

  • Patent number: 6421883
Abstract: A flock transportation device with a switching device for the flock stream includes a monitoring apparatus which detects the degree of contamination of the fiber material. The monitoring apparatus includes an evaluation device which determines the cleaning requirements of the detected material and which controls the switching device accordingly. A flock processing installation is contemplated with several transportation paths which comprise different treatment characteristics. Additionally, the flock processing installation can be controlled by way of a central control systems.

  • Patent number: 5237727
Abstract: A method for enabling the cleaning of fibers in a fiber cleaning machine in which a cleaning stream moves tufts around a rotating cleaning cylinder, the tufts being cleaned and opened. The cleaning action can be adapted to fibers of varying origin and to an increasing degree of opening in the course of cleaning. The cleaning stream is, to a large extent, controlled and controllable by decoupling it from the dynamic behavior of the transport streams which transport material to and away from the cleaning process. Compensation for variations in the cleaning stream, and in the material supplied for cleaning, are achieved by control of the cleaning intensity, in order that the tufts emerging from the cleaning process are constant and optimally cleaned and opened. The invention concerns also suitable fiber cleaning apparatus for the realization of the described method. The apparatus includes a cleaning cylinder positioned in a casing and a plurality of cleaning elements extending from the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5123145
Abstract: A method and apparatus for cleaning textile fibers for use in conjunction with an opening roller to which the textile fibers are fed and around which the textile fibers are conveyed, in the form of a fiber bat, in a transport direction. The apparatus includes an arrangement for conveying the textile fibers from an inlet to a clamping point proximate the opening roller; compressing and clamping the textile fibers, in the form of a fiber bat, with a clamping force, the clamping force having a magnitude which is a function of a characteristic of the fiber bat; drawing the fiber bat from the clamping point to a takeover point on a periphery of the opening roller, the fiber bat then being subjected to centrifugal force due to rotation of the opening roller; conveying the fiber bat, under the influence of the centrifugal force, to a separating blade; and separating an area of the fiber bat having contaminants concentrated therein resulting from the centrifugal force and from the drawing of the fiber bat.

  • Patent number: 5084942
Abstract: An apparatus and method for use in a cleaning process of textile fibers, and for use in conjunction with an opening roller. The apparatus includes a plurality of separating blades and guide elements which are spaced from the opening roller during the cleaning process. An assembly is provided for adjustably positioning a plurality of the separating blades and the guide elements during the cleaning process. The adjustment of the spacing of the separating blades and the guide elements from the opening roller can be accomplished remotely, either manually or by a motorized drive. A lever unit enables appropriate connection for effecting the various adjustments of the separating blades and the guide elements. The guide elements and the separating blades can be controlled and adjusted to suit the fibers to be processed.

  • Patent number: 5033166
Abstract: A method for the discharge of the waste from a fiber cleaning machine with the retention of the operating pressure difference to the surroundings of the machine. The waste inside the machine is collected to a predetermined filling level and after this filling level has beeen reached only a predetermined part of the waste is removed so that the part of the waste which is not removed can be effective as a sluice layer.A discharge device for discharging the waste from a fiber cleaning machine having a collecting basin and a blowing or sucking device. The discharge device has a collecting basin which is funnel shaped with a motor driven paddle wheel in the tapered part. The waste removal is controlled on the basis of weight indicating and/or filling level indicating sensors which are assigned to the collecting basin.

  • Patent number: 5018247
Abstract: A machine for cleaning textile fibres including a casing, a horizontal opening roller rotatably mounded in the casing, the roller body having a roller body and beater rods protruding from the peripheral area of the roller body and bar grates arranged below the underside of the opening roller. Textile fibres in the form of flocks are conveyed in a delivery air stream through an inlet which is arranged at a first end of the opening roller. An outlet for egress of the delivery air stream is arranged at the other end of the opening roller. In one arrangement, the radial length of the beater rods decreases from the inlet to the outlet and the diameter of the roller body increases from the inlet to the outlet. This arrangement allows the opening of the fibre flocks to be improved and permits a more complete separation of impurities through the bar grates.
