    Abstract: A fixed cellular terminal screens outgoing calls for an emergency number by comparing each digit as it is dialed to the corresponding digit in one or more previously stored emergency numbers. If all of the digits match the emergency number, an emergency call is placed. Normal call processing begins when one of the dialed digits does not match its respective digit in the emergency number.
