Abstract: An air guide casing includes an air filter, an air throttle valve, an exhaust gas recycling pipe, a mixing chamber in fluid communication with the recycling pipe, and a distributor chamber in fluid communication with the mixing chamber and at least one cylinder of an internal combustion engine. The air guide casing is provided with means for collecting a mixture of recycled exhaust gas and filtered intake air and means for distributing that mixture to the cylinders. Thus, the air guide casing provides a separate mixing section in the air guide casing to achieve good mixing of the air for combustion with the incoming exhaust gas prior to introduction of the exhaust gas and clean air into the distributor chamber.

Abstract: A bridoon bit with curb arms is provided with a thickened center portion having a curved lateral axis, and with end portions outwardly thereof having an opposite curvature in order that the bit may best conform to the anatomy of a horse's mouth, avoiding pressure points and preventing the horse's mouth from becoming insensitive.

Abstract: The invention relates to a tensioning arrangement with a damping device for a belt drive. The tensioning arrangement includes a combination of a pivotal roller lever which supports a tensioning roller, a tension spring engagable with the roller lever and a damping device attached to the roller lever.In order to facilitate a rapid installation and tensioning of the belt on the belt drive, the end of the tension spring opposite the roller lever is connected with a pivotable spring tensioning lever, which spring tensioning lever is selectively movable from a position where the belt is provided with no pretensioning to a pretensioning position where the spring exhibits a predetermined pretensioning force at the belt tensioning roller.

Abstract: The invention concerns a halter having a halter clamp connecting to a nosepiece, a head piece and two chin straps which are suspended in eyelets on both ends and between the ends of the clamp body. In order to avoid the danger of the origin of chafe marks on the horse's head and the danger of collisions with the harness bit snaffle ring, the clamp body of the halter clamp is crescent-shaped in the plane of the horse's head against which the clamp lies, and also laterally curved away from the horse's head. The upper eyelet is preferably round and is provided for suspension of the upper chin strap as well as of the halter head piece. Spindles on this eyelet serve for better fixing of the halter parts. The lower chin strap is fastened to the lower eyelet and the nose piece is fastened to the middle eyelet.

Abstract: In compact vehicle diesel engines, injection pumps are accessible only with difficulty for the purpose of adjusting a starting time of fuel delivery. An adjusting device is provided which includes an adjusting bolt or screw which may easily be reached from a top side of the engine. The adjusting bolt or screw includes a collar which is adapted to engage in a corresponding annular slot provided in an installation flange of a housing of the fuel-injection pump. A threaded portion of the adjusting bolt or screw is threadably accommodated in a threaded member pivotably fastened to the engine. When the adjusting bolt or screw is turned, the injection pump may be rotatably adjusted while a camshaft of the fuel-injection pump, connected to a timing drive of an internal combustion engine, remains in a previous position, thereby varying the start time of fuel delivery of the fuel-injection pump.

Abstract: A drive mechanism for a fuel injection pump of an internal combustion engine, wherein a drive sprocket and an injection timer unit are arranged in a crankcase of the engine on a drive shaft connected to the camshaft of the fuel injection pump. The drive shaft is formed by a socket sleeve and is floatingly supported on the camshaft.

Abstract: An idling speed adjusting mechanism for injection pumps in which a pivotal connection for raising the idling rotational speed is adjustable against a spring force by way of an adjusting mechanism arranged externally at the pump housing and adjustable against the spring force. The adjusting mechanism includes an adjusting motor formed in particular by an expansion element which is extensible with a temperature increase in the spring prestress direction. The adjusting motor is connected with the pivotal spring connection by way of an intermediate member displaceable between abutments fixed at the housing. The intermediate member, in turn, is spring-loaded with a temperature increase opposite the extension direction of the adjusting piston of the adjusting motor.

Abstract: An installation for the metered lubrication of an injection pump flangedly connected to an internal combustion engine, in which the cam shaft is driven by an intermediate gear shaft non-rotatably connected therewith, which is rotatably supported in the crankcase of the internal combustion engine on two slide bearings and which is lubricated from a connection with a lubricating oil channel of the internal combustion engine; at least one of the slide bearings of the intermediate gear shaft is constructed in conjunction with the same as metering device; the metered lubricating oil, after leaving the slide bearing, is supplied by way of a sealed space formed at the connecting place between the cam shaft and the intermediate gear shaft, to a central bore through the cam shaft of the injection pump, from where the lubricating oil reaches the injection pump through a radial bore.
