  • Patent number: 11964646
Abstract: A foot brake valve (2?) of a pneumatic brake system in a motor vehicle has an installation plate (4?), on which a brake pedal (14) is pivotably mounted and to which a housing (18?) of a control unit (16, 26) is fastened. A spring-loaded plunger piston (36) in actuating contact with the brake pedal (14) is guided axially movably in an annular collar (50) projecting upward out of the installation plate (4?). For fastening the housing (18?) of the control unit (16, 26) to the installation plate (4?), the housing (18?) has an intermediate flange (48) which is screw-connected to the main part of the housing (18?) and has the annular collar (50). The intermediate flange (48) is coaxially rotatably about a vertical central axis (32), and is connectable in non-positively locking fashion to the installation plate (4?) via a releasable clamping connection (62).

  • Publication number: 20230398973
Abstract: A trailer brake control module (300a; 300b; 300c) for a towing vehicle (502) facilitating braking of a towed vehicle or trailer (504) includes a pressure supply port (P11), a trailer control pressure port (P22), a primary control port (P42) for receiving either directly and/or indirectly a control brake pressure for operating the trailer brake control module (300a; 300b; 300c). The primary control port (P42) receives the control brake pressure from a pneumatically operated pressure medium, a pneumatic control pressure line (308.1) provides alternative control brake pressure for operating the trailer brake control module (300a; 300b; 300c), wherein the pneumatic control pressure line (308.1) receives the alternative control brake pressure from an electronically operated pressure medium, and a relay valve (310) is activated using either the control brake pressure received at the primary control port (P42), or the alternative control brake pressure from the pneumatic control pressure line (308.1).

  • Publication number: 20230151900
Abstract: A pneumatic device (1) for a brake system (100) includes a housing (3) for receiving electronic components. The housing is in fluid communication with the environment during operation of the pneumatic device (1). An exhaust path (15) having an exhaust port (17) and being in fluid communication with the housing (3) exhausts the pneumatic device (1) to the environment (5) via the exhaust port (17). An exhaust element (10) associated with the exhaust path (15) includes a liquid impermeable but gas permeable barrier between the housing (3) and the environment (5). • Patent number: 10967843
Abstract: A control valve for applying a spring-loaded brake pressure to spring-loaded parts of a rear-axle wheel brake is pneumatically activated as a function of a parking-brake braking demand and a service-brake braking demand. A first control chamber is connected via a first control piston to a control arrangement in the control valve. During an adjustment of the first control chamber via the service-brake control pressure, the spring-loaded brake pressure at the working output is a function of the service-brake control pressure or of the parking-brake control pressure. The first control piston is connected to a third control chamber, wherein the pressure in the first control chamber acts on the first control piston in one direction, and the pressure in the third control chamber acts on the first control piston in the opposite direction. The first control chamber is selectively connectable to the third control chamber via a switchable bypass valve.

  • Patent number: 9796365
Abstract: An electronic-pneumatic braking system for a vehicle, for example for a heavy goods vehicle or an articulated truck, includes a TCS/ESC modulator (1), enabling control functions for a traction control system (TCS) and a vehicle stability control system (ESC). The TCS/ESC modulator (1) includes a pneumatic relay valve (2), a solenoid valve (7) and a changeover valve device (11). In order to achieve a compact size and cost savings during manufacture, only control pressure can be applied to the solenoid valve (7) and to the changeover valve device (1), while only the pneumatic relay valve (2) has a large nominal size for conveying the supply pressure to at least one wheel brake and for venting the latter. As a result, the changeover valve device (11) can be structurally integrated in a TCS/ESC modulator (1) intended for carrying out the TCS/ESC functions.
