Abstract: Copolymers of particularly low viscosity, which can be prepared by a polymerization in bulk, in which one component (A) is initially charged and, in the further course of the polymerization, at least two olefinically unsaturated copolymerizable monomers (B) are added, of which at least one contains at least one COOH group and at least one is sterically-hindered are usefully employed in coating compositions.

Abstract: Polymer alloys which comprise (A) at least one cycloolefin polymer and (B) at least one polyaryl ether ketone, the amounts of (A) being 1 to 99% by weight and those of (B) being 99 to 1% by weight and relatively making up 100% by weight, with respect to the total alloy, are described. Such polymer alloys can be used as a matrix material for composite materials or for the production of shaped articles.

Abstract: For producing 100 parts by weight of a polymer blend 0 to 95 parts by weight of a finely divided polyolefin, 0 to 95 parts by weight of finely divided cycloolefin polymer and 0.1 to 99 parts by weight of a blockpolymer (which consists of monomeric units derived from norbornen and monomeric units derived from aliphatic monocycloolefins C.sub.n H.sub.2n and/or aliphatic 1-olefin, such as ethylene or propylene, are mixed and the mixture is processed under heat and shear forces. The block copolymer acts as phase mediator and contains in different blocks different proportions of the monomer units used.
