Abstract: This application relates to a twist drill for use in a machine tool with a major cutting edge divided into two partial cutting edges by a chisel edge wherein longitudinal cutting edges extend along the length of the drill such that the first longitudinal cutting edge makes a rough cut and the second longitudinal cutting edge makes a finishing cut during operation.
