  • Patent number: 11980425
Abstract: A tracker for a surgical navigation system, a tracker system, and a surgical navigation system are provided. The tracker comprises a carrier and an electrical circuit disposed on the carrier. The electrical circuit comprises at least one infrared light emitting diode, IR-LED, and a battery or a wireless power reception device configured to receive power wirelessly, wherein the battery or the wireless power reception device is configured to provide power to operate the at least one IR-LED. The electrical circuit is configured to limit a current for at least one of the at least one IR-LED to not exceed 15 mA.

  • Publication number: 20200330162
Abstract: A tracker for surgical navigation is described. The tracker includes a patch being deformable in at least one direction and a tracker element selected from a light source or a coil. The tracker element is supported by the patch. The tracker further includes an electrical connection electrically coupled to the tracker element and supported by the patch. The electrical connection has a meandering shape along the direction in which the patch is deformable.

  • Publication number: 20200229874
Abstract: An optical tracking device, a surgical navigation system and a surgical navigation method are disclosed. The optical tracking device comprises a body having at least two optically distinguishable lines, wherein at least one of the lines is an edge of the body. The lines are configured to be detected by an optical detection system simultaneously. They have a fixed spatial relationship between each other. The method comprises providing the optical tracking device, acquiring data describing the fixed spatial relationship, detecting the lines and determining the spatial position and/or orientation of the optical tracking device based on the detected lines and the fixed spatial relationship.

  • Patent number: 9985730
Abstract: A receiving device and a method for operating a receiving device are provided in which a signal is divided into two separate signal parts. The two signal parts are demodulated simultaneously and, from the demodulated signals, the difference is formed. After the formation of the difference, an information item is obtained from the difference signal and compared with a predetermined information item. In the case of correspondence of the obtained information and the compared information, a wake-up signal is generated.

  • Patent number: 8958766
Abstract: An electronic appliance comprising an electrical circuit and an operating mode switching unit which can be awakened out of a sleep state into a working state in which the current consumption of the circuit is greater in than in the sleep state. To receive a radio signal, the appliance has a receiver comprising a UHF carrier that is amplitude-modulated by a modulation signal. The receiver comprises a UHF antenna connected to a passive filter stage to an input of a passive rectifier circuit. An output of the rectifier circuit is connected to a detector for the modulation signal. To wake the electrical circuit from the sleep state, the operating mode switching unit has a control connection to the detector. The appliance has a low current draw in the sleep state by matching the output impedance of the rectifier circuit to the input impedance of the detector.
